According to the company, the economic impact of colds adds up to $127 per person, per year, totaling almost $40 billion. The cost of influenza totaled just under $200 per worker in 2012-2013.
 We wanted to share these statistics to enlighten Americans so that they can have a better understanding of how important it is to stay well not only in terms of staying physically healthy, but in terms of financial health," said Bill Van Dyke, president of B&D Nutritional Ingredients. "We thought our customers would enjoy these facts and share the infographic with their families, friends, coworkers and employers."
