To meet today’s clean-label desires, product formulators are tasked with finding ingredients that not only look good on a label, but function well in the finished product. This becomes increasingly challenging when looking for natural ingredients or expanding into nutraceuticals and botanicals.

In this INSIDER exclusive video, BI Nutraceuticals’ Randy Kreienbrink, vice president of marketing, and Alison Raban, certified food scientist, addressed some of the challenges in formulating clean-label products with GRAS ingredients. They’ll continue the conversation at SupplySide West in Las Vegas, at the full-day summit, “Delivering on the Clean-Label Expectation,” Wednesday, Oct. 5. Additional topics will include:

• Meeting the spirit and letter of clean label

• Navigating consumer demographics and marketing challenges
