Modeling Satiety

Learn about how researchers are predicting the satiating effects of foods with a lab-based system that mimics human digestion.

An in-vitro modeling system called “TIM” mimics the dynamic physiological mechanisms in the human digestion system. Susann Bellman, project manager, TNO Triskelion discusses how scientists are combining this in-vitro modeling system with an intestinal cell system to mimic hormonal chemical signals which will help define technology that measures the satiating effects of foods.
