FAIRFIELD, N.J.MG America, the U.S. subsidiary of MG2 of Bologna, Italy, introduced the ACE-BT300 Coding & Verification Unit, an integrated system for bottle serialization. The machine, which can provide track and trace capabilities as granular as unit-level, can handle round, square and rectangular bottles from 22-120 mm in diameter at a maximum speed of 300 per minute.
Bottle coding on the ACE-BT300 can be performed either bottom-up or down. Positive bottle indexing and transportation is assured, as serve-driven side belts provide accurate speed management and position control throughout the process. The machine offers single-point adjustment for complete format changeovers, and bottle rejection is performed through a linear motor-driven shaft.
The ACE-BT300 includes a multi-camera system to verify 2D data matrices printed on individual bottles, laser printing and a stainless steel frame, reject verification and no pneumatic components.
“With serialization an increasingly important topic especially in the pharmaceutical industry, compact machines that provide flexible coding and verification options are in high demand," said Fabio Trippodo, president of MG America. “The ACE-BT300 combines sophisticated technology with reliability, cost-effectiveness and ease of use, and can be smoothly incorporated into existing bottling lines."
