ATLANTAHuber EngineeredMaterials, a business unit of J.M. Huber Corp., acquired Micro Powders and Braig Inc. in Benicia,Calif. Purchase price was not disclosed. MPBI is a granulator andmanufacturer of calcium carbonate and ground oyster shell powders. According to Huber(www.hubermaterials.com), the manufacturingabilities complement Hubers goal of furthering development of specialtyingredients and functional additives for the nutraceutical and pharmaceuticalindustries.
