LA MIRADA, Calif. Green Wave Ingredients (GWI) installed a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) instrument at its Chinese office to further transparency.

The NIR instrument will be used to identify all raw materials before they are shipped and imported to the United States. This will prevent sending the wrong product and ensure that quality standards are met. The instrument will also be able to detect change in the manufacturing process, monitor particle size consistency, sense moisture and identify potential contaminants.

The addition of this instrument enables us to not only identify the product, but also monitor its consistency between manufacturers," explained GWI quality control director Alice Chin.

"We want our customers to feel that we are taking the extra step to ensure they are receiving the best product available," said Jim Schultz, GWI founder and CEO.  "We have come a long way to build our team and infrastructure and will continue to be known for transparency, trust and making high quality a standard rather than an idea."
