NATLife Expands Powergrape Claims

LIBOURNE, France—NAT’Life developed several new claims for its Powergrape® ingredient that target the energy market. According to the company, clinical studies—including a complete protocol—has shown the antioxidant ingredient maximizes physical performance and recovery by improving muscle oxygenation and protection. “Results obtained with Powergrape allow both originality and synergy with other tonic ingredients in final products,” said Benoit Lemaire, business director of the NAT’Life division of Naturex.

Suggested marketing claims, based on the clinical results, for 400 mg/d of Powergrape include:

  • 23.9 percent improvement of physical performance;

  • 7.9 percent increase of recovery capacity;

  • 3.6 percent increase of muscle oxygenation;

  • 100.9 percent decrease in muscle damage or cramp risk; and

  • 48.8 percent decrease in inflammation.
