That’s according to the head of the agency’s Office of Dietary Supplement Programs, who clarified that the new list of 27 ingredients is not a collection of ingredients to avoid, rather a list of ingredients the agency has acted on or communicated about. Simultaneously, FDA shut down the “Dietary Supplement Ingredient Advisory List,” which was an alert about ingredients, confusing some. Learn more here.

International Probiotics Association Blasts Washington Post – article
The article, “Probiotic supplements may do the opposite of boosting your gut health,” used what “appeared to be ‘social media’ instead of scientific evidence,” said the IPA in its response. The 2018 research used has already been dismantled by scientific experts, the group explained. “The paper is misquoted and the data has unfortunately been taken out of context yet again.” Learn more here.
