GREAT FALLS, Mont.—Sales of Kamut (Kamut.com) wheat products increased almost 32 percent globally from 2006 to 2007, according to Great Falls, Montana-based Kamut Intl. There was particularly strong interest in the ancient grain in the United States and Canada (14 percent) and Europe (40 percent growth), with Italy alone accounting for two thirds of all European sales. 28 percent of Kamut® wheat products are sold in the United States and Canada, while 72 percent are sold in Europe. Kamut® grain products are being introduced into Australia and Japan.
