Nutrition Capital Network (NCN), an organization focused on connecting investors and companies in the nutrition and health and wellness industries, is launching its inaugural European investor meeting on May 5 in Geneva. The meeting will be held in association with Vitafoods Europe.
Scheduled for Monday, May 5, NCN Europe will be a half-day meeting focusing on science, ingredients and technology. Between eight and 12 companies will present their business to an audience to 30-40 investors, with an opportunity for one-on-one meetings after the presentations.
Since its founding in 2007, NCN has hosted 19 investor meetings in the United States and has established a successful track record matching companies with investors and partners. NCN counts Cargill, DuPont and Bayer, among others as cornerstone investors.
“NCN investor meetings have from the beginning attracted interest from the international investment community and from entrepreneurs and growth companies outside the United States," said Grant Ferrier, president of NCN. “Interest in nutrition and health and wellness is a global trend. Given the consistent quality and volume of deal flow we have seen over the last several years, we believe this is a good time to expand our network into Europe."
NCN is now accepting applications from companies interested in presenting their business plans at NCN Europe. The application process is free, but there is a €1,000 fee for accepted presenters that includes business plan and presentation review by NCN’s selection committee mentors, introduction to multiple attendees at the meeting and key investors and follow up.
