Vitamin Angels, a nonprofit organization that distributes life-saving supplements to malnourished children throughout the world, has an ambitious goal to provide prenatal vitamins to 50 million pregnant women by 2030. This achievement will be reached with help from consumer packaged good (CPG) brands, who gain goodwill with customers and employees while helping reduce infant mortality. In this podcast, Howard Schiffer, CEO and founder, Vitamin Angels, discusses the work the organization does and the symbiotic relationship the nonprofit has with finished product brands. With Sandy Almendarez, editor in chief, INSIDER, Schiffer covers:
- The scope of Vitamin Angels’ reach, which includes 70 million children in 74 countries.
- The impact that its Global Prenatal Campaign will have in reducing infant mortality
- The SupplySide Cares program, which won the 2017 Do-Gooder Award from Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 Awards for its work with Vitamin Angels.
