INSIDER: Meeting Global Market Needs

For nearly 20 years, Natural Products INSIDER has served as the leading media brand to the nutritional ingredients marketplace, aligned with SupplySide West, the event where executives from across the dietary supplement, food, beverage and beauty industries converge to explore, discover, innovate and market.

Our team had observed for the last several years a natural convergence of the dietary supplement, food and beverage industries. In fact, our vice president of sales in the Informa Health & Nutrition Network, Danica Cullins, noted that major CPG companies are spending billions of dollars to get into the healthy food and clean label movement. And, she added, “Whether manufacturers are adapting current formulations for cleaner labels or acquiring innovative healthy food brands, the ingredients inside are driving it all."

Last year’s acquisition of VIRGO by Informa created the ideal timing for us to create a single comprehensive media brand to offer information and education on-demand when our events including SupplySide and the various global Vitafoods shows are not taking place. As a result, our INSIDER and Food Product Design brands will unite to create a comprehensive, global brand covering healthy ingredients and finished applications. By the start of 2016, this brand will be recognized as INSIDER, and will cover all the verticals concerned with healthy, innovative ingredients, including food, beverage, dietary supplements, sports nutrition and beauty. We will be integrating the great content on the food and beverage market from Food Product Design into the INSIDER website, delivering a deep resource on formulating and marketing healthy products for consumers.

This is a move that we’ve been assessing for some time, trying to figure the best way to offer a single destination content site the way our events offer comprehensive in-person content across these different channels. For our audience, this offers a great opportunity to deliver all the information you need, in the way you need it, and help you even find the new ideas you didn’t know you needed. We’re excited to integrate our entire content team within this brand, and bring the high-quality content you count on across this Informa Global Health & Nutrition Network.

Finally, we’re going to be undergoing a bit of a face lift as well. Our INSIDER logo has been redesigned to incorporate the colorful globe representing our Informa Global Health & Nutrition Network. This change will further position INSIDER as the media presence for all SupplySide and Vitafoods events worldwide.
