Carolwood, Compound Solutions Form Alliance
GREENVILLE, Pa.--Carolwood Corp. has formed an alliance with Escondido, Calif.-based Compound Solutions; Compound Solutions will provide warehousing, sales and marketing support for Carolwood's Lignisul and Alavis MSM brands throughout the Western United States.
"This strategic alliance will enable us to provide next-day delivery service to most of our customers in the West," said Dean Mosca, president of Carolwood. "In addition, Compound Solutions will offer excellent sales, marketing and technical support to our customers."
Recent tests conducted by Alpha Laboratories in Petaluma, Calif., showed that Lignisul MSM and Alavis MSM are stable for a period of three years with no decrease in potency. According to Carolwood, it is the only U.S. manufacturer claiming a three-year shelf life with a purity level over 99.9 percent.
Finally, Carolwood announced that General Nutrition Centers (GNC) will add the Lignisul MSM logo to the labels of eight GNC SKUs. The new packaging was expected to hit the shelves by May 2001 at more than 4,000 GNC stores across the United States. "We've been impressed with the research and the branding program behind Lignisul MSM," said Keith Coyner, GNC vice president of product development. "We believe the Lignisul brand will be a valuable addition to our label."
