Consumers are thirsting for more than plain-old orange juice. It appears consumers are shunning traditional choices and opting instead for smoothies, exotic fruit/vegetable blends, coconut water, aloe vera water and juices made with nutritious, intriguing superfruits. Key considerations during the judging process will be the type of ingredients used, their functionality and nutrition benefits, as well as clever and innovative packaging.
The 4th Annual SupplySide CPG Editor’s Choice Awards includes 10 categories—Antioxidants, Bars, Digestive Health, Energy Drinks, Functional Food, Heart Health, Joint Health, Juices, Multivitamin, and Pet Food/Treats. The SupplySide editorial team will evaluate all nominations to determine the finalists in each category. Winners are selected by the SupplySide editor’s based on market innovation, consumer need, scientific substantiation and the “cool” factor.
Finalists will be showcased through the SupplySide Health & Nutrition Network brands, and winners announced at SupplySide West in Las Vegas, Oct. 5-9, 2015. Deadline for applications is July 31, 2015.
