Shama Alexander is the Director of Industry Relations for the Non-GMO Project. In her former role, Shama headed the corporate sustainability strategy and operations for the North American business unit of global brand, LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. Shama’s background includes extensive work in sustainability as both an internal practitioner and external consultant for mid to large sized companies and organizations. She specializes in best practices at the manufacturing level, supply chain optimization and stakeholder engagement. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies & Economics and a MBA in Sustainable Business Management.
