HONG KONGWhen Vitafoods Asia opens its doors here Sept. 2, the dedicated Asian event for the dietary supplements and functional foods industries will also include the second edition of the Vitafoods Asia Conference. Delegates will hear from industry experts across a range of segments and job functions, with market research firms, regulatory consultants, scientific researchers and more on the agenda.
“Building upon the success of our European event in May, the Vitafoods Asia Conference will bear a similar program structure," said Chris Lee, portfolio director for Vitafoods Events. “We continue to highlight best practices, with market research and development in areas such as weight management and healthy aging. The conference also focuses more on regulatory aspects this year, in response to industry demand. Through this platform, we aim to facilitate dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and innovation within the industry, so as to facilitate the development of better and safer end-products for the consumer."
The conference program is divided into two parallel streams: Your Business, with a focus on turning business intelligence into insights and competitive growth strategies; and Your Science, presenting the latest R&D, product and ingredient innovations across many health categories. Delegates can choose to attend sessions from either stream, ultimately gaining a full picture of the production cycle from ideation to market launch. Topics will include sustainable brand positioning, market strategies and technologies, weight management, nutricosmetics, probiotics, healthy aging and international trade. The keynote panel discussions will explore the future of the functional food and beverage, dietary supplement and nutraceutical industry in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as creating closer economic integration in the ASEAN region.
In another new addition, Frost & Sullivan will bring an element of its Growth, Innovation & Leadership (GIL) Briefings into the Vitafoods Asia Conference. Traditionally only open to Frost & Sullivan’s customers, GIL events are designed to inspire participants to develop new ideas and fresh perspectives for their organizations. The partnership allows attendees of Vitafoods Asia Conference to participate in these exclusive sessions at no extra cost.
