WASHINGTONThe Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) announced that it is a promotional partner for the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS) conference, "Clinical and Economic Outcomes of Nutrition Interventions Across the Continuum of Care," taking place on March 13 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. The conference will focus on the role of nutrition across the continuum of care, the new approaches and interventions to integrated care and a health systems approach to delivery of nutrition interventions, as well as emerging research on the subject.

CRN is pleased to support NYAS in its efforts to further the understanding of nutritional science among key stakeholders," said Duffy MacKay, N.D., senior vice president, scientific and regulatory affairs, CRN.  We continue to learn more every day about the important role of nutrition in good health, and CRN appreciates NYAS approach to gather together scientists to consider not only the health consequences of malnutrition, but also the economic impact of nutrition as part of an integrative approach to prevention."

The CRN Foundation recently supported a Frost & Sullivan economic report that showed how supplementation at preventive intake levels in high-risk populations can result in societal and individual health care cost savings.
