News Release

Berner Food and Beverage LLC, a leading private label and contract manufacturing supplier of quality food and beverage products, shared an update on the progress of their plant expansion in Dakota, Illinois. The state-of-the-art processing center is scheduled to be fully operational by the second quarter of 2017.

Kurt Seagrist, CEO, Berner Food and Beverage LLC said, “This is a very exciting time for Berner Foods. This plant expansion is going to triple our footprint and allow us to better serve our customer partners and all of their private label and contract manufacturing needs. The improvements we have been making are driven by the new strategic direction underway since our acquisition by Peak Rock Capital. Berner has always been a family-owned company supplying the industry with quality products. Now, as we invest in the company’s solid foundation and continue to expand our facilities and build out our operations, our customers will have state-of-the-art processing capabilities available to deliver more and even better-tasting beverages, dips and sauces. We are also working with our team to offer new and improved quality standards and service support teams that will exceed customer expectations.”

Todd Mullane, vp of sales, Berner Food and Beverage LLC said, “These changes are really a win-win for Berner, our customers, our employees and the industry. We will focus sales efforts around some of the latest private label trends that we are seeing, as well as recent co-manufacturing opportunities resulting from consolidation of some of the top food companies in our industry and in the marketplace. We are excited to share our expanded and improved coffee and latte beverage capabilities with our customers. These new capabilities in this expanding category promise to be exciting opportunities for their sales channel.”

Berner anticipates that this strategic growth will allow them to bring up to an additional 200 jobs to the area. They plan to share updates on further expansion and capabilities in the coming months.
