AHPA Holds Board Election March 6

<p>The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) will hold its Board of Trustee's election at its annual member meeting on March 6 at the Natural Products Expo West tradeshow.</p>

SILVER SPRING, M.D.The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) will hold its Board of Trustee's election at its annual member meeting on March 6 at the Natural Products Expo West tradeshow. Candidate nomination is now closed, and 15 AHPA members are up for election, including Élan Sudberg of Alkemist Labs, Richard Kaufman of Paragon Laboratories and Rupa Das of BI Nutraceuticals.

Serving on the board offers businesses in the trade the opportunity to more actively engage in the associations efforts," said Daniel Gagnon, board member with AHPA member company Herbs, Etc. Board members are involved in every decision or position the association takesfrom GMOs to Prop. 65 to approving comments to the FDA on proposed regulations."

The board is composed of 22 members that represent various natural products industry sector, including personal care, sports nutrition and retailers. The board meets twice a year in person, in addition to a yearly tele-conference.

Having served as a board member for 10 years, as well as AHPAs President for nearly 15 years, Im both confident and proud to work beside such invested and considerate individuals," said AHPA president Michael McGuffin. As the industry continues to evolve and with ever new challenges, we welcome the next generation of industry personnel to take the reins and lead AHPA forward."
