Jose Antonio, Ph.D., FACSM, CSCS,
is a research advocate in the field of performance nutrition and co-authored Fast Track' with 1500 meter Olympian Suzy Favor-Hamilton. Antonio is an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University and Florida International University where he teaches sports nutrition. He has written eight books on exercise and sports nutrition, published more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 500 lay press articles. He is the chief executive officer and co-founder of the International Society of Sports Nutrition ( www.theissn.org) and a host of the Performance Nutrition radio Webcast/podcast. He is a prolific writer and speaker in the field of sports and performance nutrition, and a popular consultant to industry. Antonio completed doctorate and post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
