Ron Amen, Ph.D., has more than thirty years of management and consulting experience in the food, nutrition and pharmaceutical industries. Presently, he is vice president of GlycaNova, a European-based biotechnology company whose product line includes proprietary immuno-enhancing ingredients. Amen’s responsibilities for GlycaNova include overall management of the business in the Western hemisphere.

Prior to his position with GlycaNova, he provided consulting services as a principal in ABIC International Consultants, and president of Techenterprises, LLC. During these years he contributed business development, marketing strategy, licensing and acquisition support, new product development and clinical and regulatory services to domestic and foreign multinational companies, as well as start-up ventures. He is a founder or co-founder of five pharmaceutical companies, and a machine vision metrology company, and is presently on the board of directors of five start-up technology-based companies. Amen received his doctoral degree in nutritional physiology from Rutgers University and did graduate work in business administration at Santa Clara University.
