Description:
In the first part of this Webinar, Alisa Marie Beyer, president and
founder of The Benchmarking Company, will present an inside look into The
Age of Naturals Pink Report™ -- the only consumer-based report on natural
and organic products focused ONLY on the beauty-buying consumer. Women are
ready and willing to start buying cosmeceuticals and nutricosmetics, but
your brand needs to know more. Find out how users really feel, what they
know and which ingredients they love and hate.
Although cosmetics and cosmeceuticals are tested for safety, testing to
determine whether beneficial ingredients actually live up to a
manufacturer's claims is not mandatory. In general, vitamins, herbs, oils,
and botanical extracts may be used in cosmeceuticals, but the manufacturer
may not claim that these products penetrate beyond the skin's surface layers
or that they have drug-like or therapeutic effects. Some cosmeceuticals make
claims that are not backed up with clinical trials. In the second half of
this Webinar, KGK Synergize’s Najla Guthrie and Dale Wilson will cover what
to look for when considering a cosmeceutical ingredient.
Speakers:
Denise J. Herich, research director
for The Benchmarking Company, brings more than 20 years of marketing,
writing, and research expertise to beauty brands around the world. Projects
she has recently completed include: writing brand platform documents for
three major beauty brands, including one science-based skin care company,
one direct response television beauty brand and one international beauty
drink; conducting research, analyzing, and writing two major Pink Reports™,
Survival of the Prettiest: Face and Body Skin Care and The Age of
Naturals; developing a strategic planning document for a luxury spa and
apothecary brand; and creating a retail-ready presentation for an
up-and-coming beauty ingredient company.
Prior to joining The Benchmarking Company, she served as a vice president
and healthcare practice leader at Townsend Inc., a full service marketing
agency in San Diego, and as vice president of the Healthcare Policy team at
Hill & Knowlton, Washington, DC, a global public relations firm.
