Magnesium

Magnesium is an essential macromineral for human nutrition, and is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It influences muscle contraction/relaxation, affects enzymatic function, aids in energy production and transport, and helps maintain bone, nerve and cardiac health. In the diet, magnesium is found in dark green, leafy vegetables, nuts, legumes and whole grains.
