WASHINGTON—The Natural Products Association (NPA) has begun a search for a new executive director after announcing the departure of John Gay, who held the post for two years.

“We wish John well and know he will succeed in his next endeavors,” said NPA President Jeff Wright. “We have already begun the process of selecting the next executive director for NPA. I’m confident that we will select an outstanding leader who can help us tackle the challenges we face as an industry and build on our successes.”

Until they find Gay's replacement, a leadership team comprised of Wright, Daron Watts, partner at Sidley Austin LLP, and other industry veterans will lead operations and oversee NPA’s advocacy outreach and industry self-regulatory programs.  “NPA is well positioned to continue our legacy of leadership on issues important to the industry," Wright said. "The association is in a sound position with membership on the rise. We have healthy reserves and revenue has grown the past several years. Most importantly, our members really make us effective at what we do.” http://www.naturalproductsassoc.org
