WOODLAND, Calif.—PGP International Inc. announced its contract packaging facility in Springfield, MO, recently obtained kosher and organic certifications through the Orthodox Union and the Minnesota Crop Improvement Association, respectively. The full-service contract manufacturing and blending facility, which offers formulation, ingredient sourcing, blending, packaging and testing, has also been certified as GMP (good manufacturing practice) compliant by NSF International.
Doug Bishop, contract manufacturing/packaging manager, said PGP has seen rising interest in sourcing organic and kosher ingredients and producing finished goods. “One of our goals at PGP International is to take the concept of customer collaboration to a higher level," he said. “Independently, we study and monitor market trends and customer needs so that we are in front of the trends, ready to respond quickly to changing customer needs. The growth of the organic and kosher segments has been evolving rapidly. Our alignment with NSF, kosher and organic is just another way to go the extra mile for our customers."
