LAS VEGAS–Embria Health Sciences is sponsoring the “Health Practitioners" workshop at SupplySide West on Wed., Oct. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Derrick DeSilva will be the featured company spokesperson, and is a panel member during the workshop titled, “Health Practitioners and Supplements: Channel Data, Strategies and Opportunities for Growth.’"
DeSilva is on the teaching faculty of the JFK Medical Center and has lectured on various topics in medicine. Featured as a medical guest on CNN and ABC’s Nightline, DeSilva’s radio talk show, Ask the Doctor, and his television show, To Your Health, are based in New Jersey. He has also authored several books.
Embria representatives will also be on hand to discuss EpiCor®, a natural immune health ingredient comprised of protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, at the company Booth #14043 at SupplySide West, set for Oct. 10 to 14 at the Venetian and Sands Expo in Las Vegas.
EpiCor was recently the center of a wellness partnership between Embria and the city of Ankeny, IA. City employees were given the opportunity to take EpiCor over the course of six months during cold/flu season. EpiCor was provided to the city and its employees by ProActive Health Products. The city’s human resource department noted a 28-percent decrease in employees’ doctor’s visits for cold, flu and upper respiratory illnesses during the intervention period.
Last year, EpiCor received a SupplySide Scientific Excellence Award.
