NOW Foods Holds Carnipure™ Contest

BLOOMINGDALE, Ill.—Laura Hutton, Channahon, IL, won NOW Food’s L-carnitine with Carnipure™ social media contest, titled “Exercise and Recover. Faster."  The Facebook-driven campaign was designed to educate Fans of the NOW Foods page about products with Carnipure, a exercise and recovery L-carnitine ingredient from Lonza. The program helped generate more than 3,000 new Facebook fans for NOW Foods.

A recent study found long-term supplementation with Lonza’s Carnipure, in conjunction with intake of carbohydrates, increased muscular L-carnitine levels in recreational athletes.

NOW manufactures and distributes more than 1,500 dietary supplements, natural foods, sports nutrition and personal care products. NOW’s manufacturing facility has been GMP (good manufacturing practice) certified since 2000.  The company has more than 400 employees and its products are sold in more than 60 countries.
