FAIRFIELD, Calif.—Garli-Eze®, a garlic ingredient from Scientific Food Solutions LLC (SFS), will feature in new products from Napa Nutritionals LLC. The products will be sold through independent health food stores and online.
SFS was recently granted U.S. Patent No. 7901717 B1 on an alkalizing compound. As applied to Garli-Eze, this process makes garlic more palatable for consumers, which the company said improves compliance on this beneficial nutrient.
One study showed Garli-Eze delivered large amounts of allicin, a key bioactive ingredient in garlic, to the body in amounts equal to that of fresh high allicin garlic macerate.
