Albion Receives New Chelate Patent

SAINT CLAIR SHORES, Mich.—Albion received a new U.S. Patent, No. 7,838,042, on Nov. 23, 2010, “Hypoallergenic Metal Amino Acid Chelates and Metal Amino Acid Chelate Containing Compositions." The patent relates to the composition, preparation, administration and formulation of hypoallergenic metal amino acid chelates and products containing those compounds. According to the company, chelates produced via this patented method may be able to be used by the majority of people affected by food and chemical sensitivities and allergies—which may be up to half of Americans.
