REDMOND, Wash.—Virender Sodhi, Ayurvedic M.D., naturopath physician and CEO of Ayush Herbs, received the “Dhanwantari" award for excellence in Ayurvedic practice at the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) Conference. The award recognized Sodhi as an experienced integrative health professional who incorporates Ayurveda and Vedic sciences into his teaching and practice.
“It is an honor to be acknowledged by my peers and selected from the many prominent Ayurvedic physicians that attended the AAPNA conference," Sodhi said.
Sodhi, one of the first Ayurvedic physicians in the U.S., received his M.D. in Ayurveda in India in 1980. In 1986, he came to the West to share Ayurveda as part of a cultural exchange program, graduating from Bastyr University with a degree in naturopathic medicine in 1988. odhi treats thousands of patients from around the world at his Redmond facility. He also lectures and teaches extensively worldwide and regularly writes about the latest Ayurvedic science updates.
