CRN Adds Five New Members

WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) added three voting members and two associate members to the organization. The new members include:

Bausch & Lomb, Voting Member: The Madison, N.J.-based company offers a full line of products for eye health, including dietary supplements that address general and age-related health needs. The company operates in more than 100 countries around the world.

CNA HealthPro, Associate Member: A business unit of New York-based CNA Insurance Companies Inc. offers insurance coverage written on a claims-made basis for health care providers, with coverage including professional, product and general liability.

Enzymotec USA Inc., Voting Member: The U.S. operation of biotechnology firm Enzymotec is based in Morristown, N.J., and offers lipid-based functional and nutritional ingredients for dietary supplements, foods/beverages and infant nutrition products. The company focuses its efforts in the cognitive health, cardiovascular wellness, and infant/toddler nutrition markets.

Natural Grocers, Voting Member: Based in Lakewood, Colo., the 32-chain retail operation grew out of Vitamin Cottage; its stores offer dietary supplements, organic groceries and personal care products, as well as a full line of private label dietary supplements.

Stericycle ExpertRECALL, Associate Member: Headquartered in Indianapolis, the company provides business and consulting services with a focus on regulatory compliance, risk management and product safety practices. It specializes in product recall, return, communication and retrieval technologies, and has served clients in myriad industries, including food/beverage and consumer goods.
