Alfalfa 95 percent is suitable for food, beverage and supplement formulations, and joins Cyvex's line of "green" antioxidant offerings including Alfapro™ juice protein, as well as its broccoli-based ingredients. In addition, Alfalfa 95 percent is a naturally derived green colorant.
Chlorophyllin is a water-soluble, stabilized and more bioavailable derivative of chlorophyll green pigment. Historically, it has been used to neutralize a range of body odors and address digestive tract issues. In vitro studies have reported chlorophyllin's role as an active antioxidant, its detoxifying potential to eliminate harmful toxins and carcinogens from the body, and its positive effects as a topical application to promote wound healing. In combination with peppermint oil ingredients, chlorophyll has also been used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
