SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J.—ACG North America introduced its AF Series of Capsule Filling machines, the AF-200(T). The AF-200 offers a fast encapsulation speeds available, filling up to 200,000 capsules per hour. The AF-200 is equipped with ACG's new, patented ZRM technology, which minimizes segregation during operation thereby reducing waste and fugitive dust.
The machines offer reliability, speed, performance and flexibility. ACG North America offers a wide variety of automatic, semi-automatic and manual machines that are capable of filling a wide range of capsules from size 000 to size 5. Capsule size and product changeover is quick and easy. The ACG AF-200 can fill a large variety of powder formulations, pellets, micro tablets and combination fillings into hard capsules. It has an output of 200,000 capsules per hour for powder and 170,000 capsules per hour for pellets. Additionally, other dosage form combinations are possible. The machine is formulation friendly and uses a tamping process to form the slug that is inserted into the empty capsule.
The AF-200 features an easy-to-use touch screen and allows machine speed adjustment from the main panel. The precise slug dosing principle enables high-filling accuracy, which increases yield and helps save money. It’s available with Zero Relative Motion (ZRM) technology. This factory-fitted mechanism, developed and patented by ACG Worldwide, ensures there is virtually no gap between the slider, dosing disc and pad during the compaction stroke. ZRM technology improves manufacturing efficiency by minimizing segregation during operation at 130 strokes per minute. ZRM technology is suitable for full filling operations and partial filling for quantities as low as 15 mg +/-2 mg.
ACG's plant and machinery conform to ISO 9001 and UKAS quality, and to GMP guidelines.
