EAST WINDSOR, N.J.— Sabinsa Corp. announced its manufacturing facility in Bangalore, India, is GMP (good manufacturing practice) registered through NSF International’s Dietary Supplement Certification program. NSF conducted a plant audit to verify compliance with GMPs and will conduct periodic audits to ensure continued conformance. Approximately 90 percent of Sabinsa’s nutritional ingredients are produced in the 77,500-square-foot facility; an additional 15,000 square feet is devoted to lab space.
“While ingredient manufacturing facilities are not required to be GMP certified, we believe such a demonstration of commitment to quality is essential for ingredients companies,” said Muhammed Majeed, Ph.D., founder of Sabinsa. “I’ve been quoted describing Sabinsa as a responsible and reliable ingredients company, and this certification independently verifies that commitment.”
