DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla.—Natural Wellness issued a nationwide recall, warning consumers not to purchase or consume its MasXtreme product, Lot #911035, after lab testing found the product contains undeclared amounts of to pharmaceutical ingredients. The adulterated dietary supplement—sold as a natural sexual enhancer—contains Aildenafil, which is similar in structure to a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, and Phentolamine, an alpha-adrenergic blocker. Both ingredients can cause serious adverse cardiac events in susceptible populations.
Consumers who have purchased MasXtreme tablets are urged to immediately discontinue their use and return the product to their place of purchase or directly to Natural Wellness Inc., 440 S. Federal Hwy., Ste. 107, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. Adverse reaction or quality problems experienced with the use of this product may be reported to FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
