KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Kalsec® Inc., a privately held producer and marketer of natural extracts for use in food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications, opened a new sales office in Shanghai on Feb. 21, 2010. It markets food ingredient brands, including Aquaresins®, Durabrite® Colours, Herbalox® Seasoning and ClearCap® Super Soluble Capsicum.
Wei Sun was appointed Kalsec country manager in China, and John Jiang has taken on the role of sales manager for this region, reporting to Sun. Two food ingredient distributors, Cotion Ltd. and Bronson & Jacobs International Trading were appointed as Kalsec partners. Additional distributors for China will be announced in due course. Kalsec uses Gold Treasure for support of its hop products in the Chinese market. The local office will enable Kalsec to offer customized solutions for manufacturers in this region.
