PARSIPPANY, N.J.—DSM Nutritional Products introduced a natural-source beta-carotene formulation for the coloration and fortification of food and beverages to its CaroCare range. CaroCare Natural Beta-Carotene 10 percent CWS Star is a non-dusting powder which disperses immediately in cold water. It’s free from ingredients of animal origin and meets vegetarian requirements. It is also free from any of the allergenic ingredients listed in Annex iiia of the EU Directive 2003/89/EC and the U.S. Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA).
