Volkmann, PTI Open Test Facility

HAINSEPORT, N.J.—Volkmann Inc., a newly formed U.S. subsidiary of Volkmann Gmbh, opened a new equipment testing facility to service the North American market. Developed in cooperation with Powder Technologies Inc. (PTI), a Hainesport-based supplier of powder processing components, the facility can convey, screen, size reduce, feed, mix and introduce solids into liquid or paste solutions. By combining equipment, both companies can now more closely replicate a customer’s production facility.

Equipment available for testing includes Volkmann VS and PPC vacuum conveyors, stainless steel units that feature contact parts, common seals throughout, external non-product contact valve actuators and require no tools for disassembly and cleaning. Also available for test or combined use is the PTI range of Gericke Nibblers, Centrifugal Sifters, continuous mixers and bulk bag handling equipment. Additionally, a fully equipped range of Ystral mixers was included in phase one of the facility.
