USDA Awards $5M in Team Nutrition Training Grants

WASHINGTON—USDA awarded approximately $5 million in Team Nutrition Training Grants to twenty states to help improve nutrition and exercise programs in their schools. As part of USDA's Team Nutrition program, the grants are intended to help train food service staff on improving the nutrition of school menus, including preparation techniques for healthier food items.
