SRBA Extends Nomination Deadline

BOSTON—The 14th Socially Responsible Business Awards (SRBA) breakfast will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in room 205 A-B of the Boston Convention Center in conjunction with Natural Products Expo East.

The event will also feature an interview-style discussion with internationally known social entrepreneur and Clif Bar founder Gary Erickson; the event is free to all industry members and features food and beverages donated by event sponsors. Golden Temple Bakery, manufacturer of Peace Cereals, and the Yogi Tea Co. serve as main sponsors of the event.

The deadline for nominating companies for the award has extended until Sept. 8, 2008. SRBA recipients have demonstrated excellence in integrating social responsibility in multiple aspects of their businesses, and are judged in six categories: Community Involvement, Education, Health, Employee Empowerment, Environment, and Sourcing.
