Slimaluma Gains Additional U.S. Patent

ANAHEIM, Calif.—Gencor Pacific received U.S. Patent No. 7,390,516, “Caralluma Extract products and processes for making the same,” a divisional application of a patent awarded in 2004 (No. 7,060,308). The patents cover Gencor’s Caralluma fimbriata extract, marketed under the trade name SLIMALUMA. According to the company, the patent effort ensures SLIMALUMA customers receive the benefit of intellectual property protection and reinforces the company’s commitment to development of unique, functional ingredients.
