Public Hearing on Allergen Advisory Labeling

WASHINGTON—FDA is holding a public hearing on its long-term strategy on truthful and informative allergen advisory labeling. The agency hopes the hearing, planned for Sept. 16 in College Park, MD, will provide insight on how manufacturers currently use, how consumers interpret and what language would be most effective for such advisory labeling. The agency is also hoping to receive comments about whether consumers find advisory labeling helpful in their shopping.
