LabelCalc Aids Label Claim Endeavors

SAN MATEO, Calif.—
LabelCalc (www.LabelCalc.com) launched an online nutrition panel service to assist food manufacturers in meeting product content requirements to carry nutrient content claims on packaging. One of the company’s new tools is a Claims Calculator, which allows formulators to input a product’s ingredients, quantity and unit of measure, and receive results to see how close the product is to eligibility for an FDA-approved nutrient content claim. There are 24 claim options, and approved claims are highlighted for the user. Companies can also receive downloadable nutrition facts panels and allergen alerts.
