Janet Evans Spokeswoman for Canola Oil

CHICAGO—Janet Evans, a swimmer and four-time Olympic gold medalist, will become a CanolaInfo (CanolaInfo.org) spokesperson from April 2008 to April 2009. She will highlight the health benefits of canola oil in a wellness campaign targeting Americans before and after the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

“Every body wins with canola oil,” said Evans. “It is one of the healthiest oils in the marketplace with the lowest amount of saturated fat of any common cooking oil and zero trans fat and cholesterol.” Evans will promote the health benefits of canola oil along with nutrition and wellness tips via US radio media tours, print and television interviews; live appearances; promotional materials co-branded with the American Heart Association and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; print ads and the CanolaInfo web site.
