SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif.—DNP International made several announcements illustrating its strength heading into the end of 2008. First, despite the economic challenges facing the industry, the company increased quarterly earnings by 12.13 percent compared to the third quarter of 2007. DNP attributed the increases in part to rising costs for raw materials and general strong sales numbers.
Second, the company extended its capabilities for producing creatine-based products and ingredients with the purchase of a manufacturing facility in the Jiangsu province of eastern China. The facility has been in operation since 2007, and its current capacity will allow DNP to produce more than 4,000 metric tons if its creatine line of products, including 3,000 metric tons of creatine monohydrate. “It is important for our customers to know we are controlling the formation of creatine products from the start of the manufacturing process to the final delivery,” said David Ji, president, DNP. “The results we anticipate are improved quality, lower pricing and more availability on a consistent level.”
Finally, the company plans to debut a new 30x30 foot booth (#21043) at SupplySide West in Las Vegas, Oct. 23 and 24. The custom-made booth will feature several amenities, including two large meeting areas, and a balanced design with a more modern look and feel. According to DNP, the new design optimizes available space and directs traffic flow to the front of the booth; arching towers and an overhead banner complete the look.
