Cyvex Hosting VendorWorks Session at SupplySide West

IRVINE, Calif.—Cyvex Nutrition is hosting a sponsored VendorWorks presentation at SupplySide West in Las Vegas; the session is set for Oct. 22, 2008, from 1 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. “Chirositol™: A Breakthrough Ingredient for use in Blood Sugar and Lipid Management” will be led by Joseph Larner, M.D., Ph.D., who will discuss how the administration of D-chiro-inositol (DCI) to diabetic humans and animals decreases elevated blood glucose and lipid levels. DCI also acts as an antioxidant, reducing reactive oxygen species, improving blood vessel health and maintaining nitric oxide signaling. DCI, when administered in combination with manganese chloride, was found to more effectively reduce elevated plasma glucose in diabetic rats.
