Focus on the Future Humanitarian and Vanguard Award Recipients Announced

PHOENIX—Virgo Publishing will recognize four outstanding organizations/individuals, two for philanthropic contributions and two for industry leadership, at Focus on the Future, Jan. 22 to 25 at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa, in Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ.

Humanitarian Awards, given to those who have made significant contributions to the betterment of the community through charitable or public service work, will be presented to Dannon for its support of the Dannon Institute, and to XanGo for its XanGo Goodness programs. The Vanguard Awards, recognizing leadership that has made an important impact on the dietary supplement or healthy food industry, will be awarded to Elliott Balbert and Whole Foods Market. The awards will be given during the dinner, co-sponsored by i.BioCeuticals and Shanghai Freeman Americas, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Focus on the Future 2008.

Focus on the Future is an executive conference and retreat where executives in the dietary supplement and healthy food industry meet for networking and high-level education programs. The event is moving to a new location in 2008, the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa, in Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ. Average temperatures in Scottsdale in January are in the 70s and winter is the peak tourist season, drawing people for golfing, hiking, shopping, spas and special events.
