01/16/2008
WASHINGTON—
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) announced five companies joined the association, including three voting members and two associate members. The new voting members are GlaxoSmithKline, Parsippany, N.J.; LycoRed, Orange, N.J.; and Novartis Consumer Health, Parsippany, N.J.; the associate members are New Hope Natural Media, Boulder, Colo.; and Quality Systems Design, North Wales, Pa.
“It is always gratifying for our association to attract responsible companies that are dedicated to providing consumers with safe, high quality and beneficial dietary supplements,” said Steve Mister, president and CEO, CRN. “We have an ambitious agenda at CRN to enhance the climate for dietary supplement manufacturers and suppliers in a number of specific and measurable ways. We think the more industry members know about CRN, the more they will want to participate in that agenda.”
