11/26/2007
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.—Non-profit organization Nourish America, launched a new fundraising drive, the 1,000 for $1,000 Campaign, which is seeking 1,000 donations of $1,000 or more by the end of 2007. Nourish America’s Web site (NourishAmerica.org) will feature a commemorative “A Thousand Thank You’s” section listing all private and corporate donors to publicly recognize each contribution.
“We’re very proud that Nourish America has repeatedly been recognized as one of the nation’s most efficient and productive charities,” said Connie Whitaker, president of the Nourish America. “The 1,000 for $1,000 Campaign reflects our belief that by working together, individuals and corporate donors can make a huge dent in the pressing problem of nutritional deficiency among children, seniors and the impoverished.”
During the first week of the new campaign, more than two dozen individual and corporate donors have responded, many of which were new to the organization’s donor roles. Contributors include American BioSciences, Clear Products, Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), CRT Tanaka, Healthy Directions, Phytotherapy, RZN Nutraceuticals, Safety Call, Sigma Tau Health Sciences and Tishcon Corp.
Nourish America is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization committed to improving the health status of children, families and seniors at risk for malnutrition and those in need through vitamin supplementation, nourishing foods (including naturals and organics) and health education.
