Celeb Launches Supplement Line
As many of you know, I’m a big proponent of celebrity product endorsement and using spokespeople of note on the publicity trail. But what can be better than a celebrity launching his own supplement product line? Dan Marino, Hall of Fame Miami Dolphins quarterback and current network television NFL commentator, recently became a partner and investor in VitaCore, a Miami-Lakes, FL-based supplement company. That’s in addition to his previous spokesperson responsibilities with the manufacturer.
Marino and his partners are working with Nutriforce in Coral Gables, FL, to manufacture the product line, FlexCore and CardioCore. Products are currently being sold online, but plans are to go retail by early next year in CVS and Walgreens stores nationwide. Marino says he’s working with Nutriforce to develop additional products for release during 1Q12.
No doubt a lot of promotion will take place in South Florida where Marino spent many years throwing touchdown passes and winning a lot of football games. Only time will tell if Marino comes out on the winning end with his supplement line.
